What is a Chemical Peel?
- 1 hr
- Downtime 3+ days
Chemical peels are professional-grade exfoliating acids applied to the skin to help resurface and retexture. It is possible to just have a single peel, but we do recommend a course of 6 to really see the long-term skin benefits. The recommended sessions are spaced between 2-4 weeks apart. 24 hours post-peel your skin will likely feel a little tight and appear slightly flushed. Within 3 days your skin will start to flake. Within the first week, you will start to see a clearer, more uniform skin tone.

Downtime and Post Care
The application of acids to the skin may cause redness, skin flaking, and mild peeling. As a general rule, expect flaking from around the 3rd day post-peel for a maximum of 5 further days. We recommend NOT wearing makeup for the first 12 hours post-peel to ensure the skin remains bacteria-free. You should also avoid direct sun exposure during the recovery period (first week), and apply an SPF 50+ daily. Apply only mild skin care products for the first 48 hours post-peel, we do have post-peel skin care packs available to purchase.
